I've never embroidered before. Is this for me?

Yes. The First Hoop kit is designed for complete beginners, with a clear printed step-by-step guide. Video lessons are coming soon.

What's in the kit?

Each product page has a "What's in the box" list for that kit. In short: pre-printed cotton fabric, a hoop, pre-sorted thread, a needle and a printed guide. The Gift Box adds scissors and extra thread. The Pattern Refill is fabric, thread and a guide, without a hoop.

How long does a kit take to finish?

It depends on your pace. Most people stitch a little each evening over a few sessions. There's no rush, which is the point.

Which kit should I start with?

First Hoop if you want one simple project. Learn 20 Stitches if you'd like to build skills across 3 patterns. The Gift Box if you're buying for someone else.

Will the printed lines show after I finish?

Your kit's guide explains how to finish your piece, including the printed lines. If you're unsure, email us before washing and we'll help.

What if I run out of thread?

Email us and we'll help you match the colour. The Gift Box includes extra thread.

What's the Pattern Refill?

Fresh pre-printed fabric and matching thread for a new design. It doesn't include a hoop or scissors, so reuse the hoop from your first kit. Check the product page for exactly what's included.

Is this suitable for kids?

Kits contain sharp needles, and the Gift Box also contains scissors. We recommend them for ages 13+; younger stitchers need adult supervision. Not a toy. Keep small parts away from children under 3.
